Cocoa Brownies
A delicious brownie recipe that requires cocoa powder instead of chocolate. Always a tasty recipe to make and never disappoints!
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup spelt flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate chunks or chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar together. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Stir until just incorporated, without over-mixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks if you are adding some.
- Pour the batter into your pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out damp but not gooney, wet or dry.
