Regular Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2tbsp warm water (not too hot)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1.5 tsp salt`
  • 1 3/4 tsp dry yeast
  • 3 cups flour

Instructions
  1. Mix the warm water, olive oil, honey, salt and dry yeast. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. Add the flour and start kneeding the dough on the counter for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, add a little bit more flour on the counter but avoid adding too much.
  3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and let rise in a warm place covered with a towel or plastic wrap for 1 to 1.5 hours until it doubles in size.
  4. Punch the dough, remove from the bowl and divide into the amount of pizzas you would like. This dough makes 2 large pizzas or you can divide it into 3 or 4 parts to make smaller pizzas.
  5. Shape each piece into a ball. Add a little more oil around the dough and place in a covered bowl or plate with a little flour for 20 to 30 minutes to let the dough rise more.
  6. Dust your counter with flour, shape into a pizza shape, add sauce, toppings. Bake at 200F on the lowest rack of the oven for 10 to 13 minutes.
