Regular Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2tbsp warm water (not too hot)
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1.5 tsp salt`
- 1 3/4 tsp dry yeast
- 3 cups flour
Instructions
- Mix the warm water, olive oil, honey, salt and dry yeast. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Add the flour and start kneeding the dough on the counter for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, add a little bit more flour on the counter but avoid adding too much.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and let rise in a warm place covered with a towel or plastic wrap for 1 to 1.5 hours until it doubles in size.
- Punch the dough, remove from the bowl and divide into the amount of pizzas you would like. This dough makes 2 large pizzas or you can divide it into 3 or 4 parts to make smaller pizzas.
- Shape each piece into a ball. Add a little more oil around the dough and place in a covered bowl or plate with a little flour for 20 to 30 minutes to let the dough rise more.
- Dust your counter with flour, shape into a pizza shape, add sauce, toppings. Bake at 200F on the lowest rack of the oven for 10 to 13 minutes.
